what’s next for the substation bar

Why a full liquor license?

We strive to provide Roslindale and the broader Boston community with a delightful beverage menu, in a beautiful space, with exceptionally unique programming and an undeniably warm vibe. A full liquor license - as opposed to one-day beer/wine licenses that have given us our start - will allow us to be open more often, to expand our drink offerings, and in turn to grow our partnerships and programming.

When is it going to happen?

Our full liquor license application - which has already been approved by the City of Boston’s Licensing Board - has moved to the State’s ABCC. With no more one-day licenses available to us in 2024 and not having our full license in hand yet, we will not be able to serve alcohol to the public. The beer hall is closed until we are able to reopen with an annual full liquor license - hopefully February 2025!
