Come join in this island vibe filled celebration that will honor and uplift the culture of Haiti.
Join us for food, music, drink specials, and a family activity to celebrate the creation of the Haitian flag during the Haitian Revolution. This event is free and open to all!
4-6 PM: Wee the People guides a kid-powered event honoring Haitian Heritage Month, Rise Up! / Leve! : Celebrating the Haitian Revolution of 1804. Through music, stories, and art-making, we will celebrate Haiti's culture and honor the freedom fighters whose slave rebellion gave birth to the first Black Republic in the modern world.
5 PM - sold out: Food from Gen’s Fusion Kitchen. Menu includes fried chicken, fried pork, rice, beans, and plantains, and - of course - Haitian patties.
7 - 10 PM: Entertainment from DJ Ayech

From 7-9pm: Our first Karaoke Night; so why not do it different?! Karaosplay!
Dress up as your favorite characters from movies, anime, video games, TV shows or come as your fabulous self… Participants can Perform songs that align with their character, theme or sing whatever they choose, just have fun!

Join this Sunday Funday as we convert into the local movie theatre: a special 2 part movie hangout. Feel free to bring your own lounge chairs, blankets, picnic goods, costumes.. whatever makes movie time fun for you! Featuring the premiere of Forrest Pierce’s Fire in the Meadow among a kaleidoscope of choral works, this program offers a vision of connection and awe through the lens of place.

The Substation Bar is open for a shortened day, before the evening’s concert! Local Rozzident, Maggie Roth, has organized a book sale fundraiser for the Eastern Massachusetts Abortion Fund that will take place from 3-5pm.
Bring some books to donate (adult books only, please!): books that you'd love to share with a new or old friend, books that are beloved and you want others to read, books that you bought three years ago but still haven't gotten around to, books that made you laugh!
Paperback books will sell for $7, and hardback books for $10. Your full payment will go directly to Maggie’s fundraising page for the EMA Fund-a-thon.
Substation Bar night amped with our friends from the Roslindale Championship Series!
They will be bringing their energy and retro equipment for a full night of video game, board game and community fun.

We set out to create something we imagined but had never encountered: a game with trivia questions crafted with the African Diaspora in mind, with a vibe that would give folks an authentic Black experience.
In December 2015, in Roxbury, Massachusetts, Hella Black Trivia was born.
We provide a genuine Black game that’s inclusive of everyone, with atmosphere that’s fun no matter your background. We do it with love, which is why we say that Hella Black Trivia is trivia with seasoning.
