Rise and Shine celebrates the versatility and power of the viola, the unsung heartbeat and sonic glue of much of the chamber music we love. This unusual program explores the sonic possibilities of the elusive middle voice, through twentieth-century viola quartets by Kenji Bunch and York Bowen, as well as new folk arrangements by Palaver violists Elizabeth Moore and Lysander Jaffe. We will be joined by special guest violist Sam Kelder.

Third installment of the Circus 617 Mixtape Series, two shows on Sunday January 19th, at 1pm and 3:30pm.

Circus Mixtape Vol. 3 presents unique collaborations between circus performers and musicians. For each act, an acrobat and a musician were paired together to make something entirely new that could not exist without their collaboration. Join musicians Jerry Sabatini, Brian King, and Heiraza alongside aerialists, acrobats, and more for an afternoon of circus, bold ideas, and brand-new sounds you won’t see anywhere else. Curated & presented by Circus 617. The show is produced and emceed by Mandy Hackman.

A Far Cry invites you to join us for a free family concert. The first hour of the event, families with young kiddos are invited to enjoy a short, participatory, kid-focused musical presentation, after which the musicians will take a break and you’ll have a chance to socialize and purchase a beer from our friends Rushford & Sons. At 6:00pm we’ll transition to a quieter sit-down chamber music concert setup and perform selections from our upcoming concert, Music for the Temple

EJ Dance Studio! The perfect way to warm up for an exciting week of concerts and dance events in Boston!

Our last class was a hit, and we're back to get you concert-ready for shows by Djodje (Nov 27), Kai & Oswald (Nov 28), and Joe Dwet File (Dec 1). Alongside these concerts, Boston will be buzzing with other events centered on konpa, kizomba, and pasada-so you'll be ready to embrace the dance scene all week!

Ej (@ejdancestudio) is skilled in various styles, so whether you're new to dancing or already experienced, you'll pick up some fantastic moves.

Admission $15 and keep in mind the 2X1 Deal! Bring a friend or dance partner, and it's $20 for both of you!

There will be a beginner focused lesson to start from 7:00 to 8:00pm where we will build your partner dance basics, then venture into some more style & variety in West Coast Swing.

Afterwards, we will open up the space to host an open social night for all to be introduced, explore, and connect together with the musical vibes that range from old school swing & blues to new age Modern Pop, Hip Hop & Electronic. West Coast Swing has one of the broadest ranges of music available to it, so there will be sure to be something for everyone.

The Channel, Green Street Station, Chet’s Last Call, TT The Bears, Bunratty’s, etc.? These Boston music veterans have headlined them all and they’re still rocking strong! With a classic rock vibe, a garage heart, and hints of reggae, surf and punk, this woman-fronted fun bar band knows how to rock! It’s always a good time when The Lucky Bastids play!
